The Lab-Volt Automation 5700 CNC Wood Router is built to industrial standards to demonstrate high-performance routing on wood, soft metal, and other training materials. The router is manufactured for durability, classroom use, and safety. Using the CNC Wood Router, students learn real-world skills that are regularly applied in modern manufacturing and workshop environments.
With the 5700 CNC Wood Router, students can create parts using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-assisted manufacturing (CAM), practice computer numerical controlled (CNC) code programming and editing, and apply the machine code language and computer software interface to current mill technology.
The router also can be used to teach students to operate mill components, controls and tools; identify axis; set a programmed reference zero; and follow the steps necessary to machine a specified part.
The 5700 CNC Wood Router features a heavy-duty chassis made of solid plate steel and Plexiglas enclosures which, when open, prevent the machine from running. The machine body features anti-backlash recirculating ballscrews and low-friction linear bearings. The router comes with Lab-Volt Automation Level 4 CNC software for Windows.
