With the 5700 CNC Gantry Mill, students can create parts using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-assisted manufacturing (CAM), practice computer numerical controlled (CNC) code programming and editing, and apply the machine code language and computer software interface to current mill technology.
The CNC Gantry Mill also can be used to teach students to operate mill components, controls and tools; identify axis; set a programmed reference zero; and follow the steps necessary to machine a specified part.
This mill features THK low-friction linear slides on each axis and a recirculating ballscrew system to ensure accurate and repeatable machine performance. The Plexiglas cover provides protection during machining.
The CNC Gantry Mill comes with Lab-Volt Automation Level 4 CNC software for Windows.
